The Archive CD Books Project Samples
Scanning the image is just the beginning. Most scans include some amount
of fading, foxing, handwriting, dirt, tears, or other damage. The samples
below demonstrate the care that Archive CD Books USA takes to clean the
scanned images before putting them on a CD. The result is usually comparable
to the day that the book was published!
You can click to download a LARGE and much more detailed copy of each
image.
In most cases, we then convert the page from an image to text using Optical
Character Recognition (OCR) so that you can easily search the entire book
for the surname, place name, or other keywords which are important to
you.
